speaking and training
Catch me speaking live, or book me to speak to your organization.
I'm an experienced speaker and educator for groups of all sizes. My expertise spans many areas of mental health, including identity, the impact of trauma and abuse, the demedicalization of autism, and more. I build a safe and comfortable environment to discuss what is often difficult and complex material. With an approach informed by my background as a therapist, I am skilled at facilitating tenuous conversations with grace and generocity, recognizing the complexity of each person's growth process. My goal is to make difficult and intellectual topics widely accessible, clear, and concise, without compromising complexity.
Neuroaffirming Clinical Care
In this training, we will delve into our rapidly evolving work and thinking about neurodiversity. We'll discuss case conceptualizations that incorporate neurotype, a rethinking of interventions that help clients to best unmask and feel secure in the treatment, and the intersection between queerness and neurodiversity. This training will also allow for reconceptualization of the psychotherapeutic frame, with ideas on how to shift it to become more neuroaffirming.
